Elizabeth Barrientes is a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor and is currently accepting new clients. She is a Registered Play Therapist and has extensive training in play therapy theories.

Elizabeth has worked with young children in a setting that supports mental health and social-emotional growth and development for children ages birth to five years old for the past 25 years. Within the last five years, she has worked as a Mental Health Consultant and has provided therapy through play utilizing Child Centered theory in her practice.

Over the last couple of years, Elizabeth has offered support to families by providing training in Conscious Discipline that helps adults support and teach self-regulation skills with their young children.

As a counselor, Elizabeth believes in having a client centered approach which includes understanding and empathy, as well as focusing on developing a strong therapeutic relationship to support each individual client to reach their goals.
