Damaris is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker licensed in California and Texas who has worked in outpatient and inpatient settings. She is passionate about helping clients find strategies that allow them to address the root causes of difficulties, develop new coping skills for overwhelming emotions, reduce the intensity of symptoms, increase self-esteem, process thoughts, change unhelpful behaviors, and build meaningful connections.
Damaris’ therapeutic approach is tailored to fit the unique needs of each person by utilizing various frameworks such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Strengths-Based, Trauma-Focused CBT, and EMDR. Damaris enjoys working with clients of all ages on various issues, her specialization is working with adolescents and adults struggling with anxiety, depression, PTSD, and self-esteem issues.
Damaris has over 9 years of experience and is passionate about helping clients find their inner strength and explore the motivations behind the patterns that are currently getting in their way to a fulfilled and enriching life. Her communication style creates a safe and welcoming therapeutic environment in which clients can explore their symptoms, feelings, and life difficulties. By working together through the therapeutic process, Damaris guides patients into a path of self-discovery and empowerment to develop into healthy and whole individuals.
