Brandy Krcha, MS, LPC Associate

Brandy is here to support and encourage growth. Brandy is currently accepting new clients under the supervision of Vanessa Fawn Colburn, MS, LPC-S.
Brandy is currently a Licensed Professional Counselor-Associate. She obtained her bachelor’s in communication studies from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi, followed by her Master of Professional Counseling with an emphasis on Clinical Mental Health. She credits her passion for effective communication as a motivator to facilitate an empathetic, assertive, and nonjudgmental exchange of information. She began her career as a clinician at a behavioral hospital, working with adolescents, primarily in partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient.
Brandy is available to provide services to children and adolescents. As a clinician, Brandy believes in utilizing empathy and unconditional positive regard to encourage identifying and exploring complex emotions and responses to them. Brandy works to highlight client strengths while navigating challenges. She has experience working with clients experiencing self-harm, depression, anxiety, relational disorders, and trauma. Brandy will utilize various treatment modalities suited to fit the needs of the client, including Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Person-Centered, dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and strengths-based approaches.
Brandy believes in compassion and authenticity. Most importantly, she believes in the client. She understands the importance of meeting a client where they are at, describing rather than demanding, and giving grace at every turn. Above all else, she wants you to know that showing up for yourself is always sufficient.
Brandy’s hobbies include traveling, spending time with friends and family, being outside, spending hours at the beach, and loving her cats!
